Infrastructure Engineer II (Aerospace)

Location: On-site in Cape Canaveral, Florida, United States; travel up to 25% may be required across Relativity’s sites. Successful candidates must clear a US government-administered background check for on-site work at a government partner location.

Salary: $104,000–$156,000 USD annually, plus equity and other benefits.

What you will do

• Define architectural, structural, heavy civil, electrical, mechanical, plumbing, fire-protection, and industrial infrastructure requirements with internal technical teams.
• Act as the owner’s representative for external consultants and contractors.
• Manage the development, design, and construction of new test-site infrastructure projects.
• Prepare construction drawings and requests for proposals, evaluate bids, and select and manage subcontractors.
• Lead construction management, field supervision, permitting, and project execution.
• Plan and install best-in-class test-site solutions within stringent cost and schedule requirements while supporting test processing and launch operations.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in civil engineering, structural engineering, or a related technical discipline.
• At least 3 years of experience in the aerospace or construction industry, combining hands-on field engineering and project management.
• Experience with design documentation, construction drawings, bid solicitation, contractor selection, construction management, field supervision, permitting, QA/QC, and safety.
• Experience scoping, budgeting, and scheduling construction projects from day-to-day execution through overall project management.
• Experience with architectural, structural, civil, and MEPF design, construction, and operation.
• Ability to pass a US government background check for on-site work at a government partner location in Cape Canaveral, Florida.

Nice to have

• Experience with NX, AutoCAD, or similar CAD and 3D modeling tools, including interpreting precision plans, blueprints, and technical drawings.
• Experience with development, permitting, land-use controls, conditional-use permits, and government agencies.
• Professional Engineer license, advanced engineering or construction training, or experience with aerospace facilities, test systems, launch GSE, or FEM structural analysis.
• Familiarity with aerospace planning, operations, safety procedures, and LOTO.
• Ability to manage multiple technically complex projects and adapt to changing requirements and tight operational windows.
