Clean Energy & Sustainability Leader

Location: Davidson, North Carolina, United States; onsite Monday through Thursday, with a flexible work location on Fridays

Annual base salary: $123,721.66–$173,004.99. Incentive eligible; not sales commission eligible.

What you will do

• Support the development and implementation of clean energy and operational sustainability strategies.
• Coordinate energy and sustainability projects across manufacturing facilities, offices, and operational sites.
• Evaluate renewable energy, efficiency, emissions-reduction, and other sustainability initiatives and support implementation.
• Monitor clean energy markets, policy developments, and emerging technologies for strategic and risk assessments.
• Prepare technical analyses, presentations, policy guidance, and communications for leadership and cross-functional partners.
• Assess building-grid relationships, electrification, grid-interactive buildings, distributed energy resources, demand flexibility, and decarbonization pathways.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Sustainability, Environmental Science, or a related technical field, or equivalent experience.
• 4–7+ years of experience in energy management, sustainability, facility operations, or related roles.
• Experience with renewable energy technologies, energy systems, efficiency concepts, sustainable data center design, utility markets, energy procurement, or corporate sustainability.
• Strong analytical and communication skills, including the ability to translate technical information into actionable insights and influence without direct authority.
• Experience with clean energy procurement, renewable project evaluation, utilities, PPAs, energy attribute tracking, or project financing concepts.
• Experience with building-to-grid technologies, distributed energy resources, microgrids, demand response, load flexibility, or energy-intensive facilities.

Nice to have

• Knowledge of onsite storage, hydrogen, advanced clean energy systems, or sustainable design certifications.
• Active participation in industry groups or sustainability networks.
