Energy Savings Assistance Program Field Trainer

Location: Must be located in Kern County, California. Home-based remote position requiring daily local travel, with up to 80% travel within Kern County and potentially other parts of PG&E’s service territory.

Compensation: $28.00–$31.00 per hour, plus potential discretionary annual bonus.

What you will do

• Build and strengthen relationships with weatherization contractors as a trusted program advisor.
• Develop and facilitate training initiatives focused on energy-efficient installations and customer satisfaction.
• Conduct ridealongs and field inspections to reinforce training and identify improvement areas.
• Collaborate with program teams and contractors on performance strategies, KPIs, issue resolution, and process improvements.
• Monitor inspection performance metrics and contractor compliance with program standards.
• Analyze data, use Salesforce and Microsoft applications, and submit electronic reports.

Requirements

• Must be located in Kern County, California.
• Ability to travel up to 80% locally and within the PG&E service territory.
• 2+ years of experience in the energy-efficiency industry and familiarity with contractor networks.
• Valid California driver’s license, clean driving record, and required automobile insurance.
• Strong interpersonal, communication, presentation, computer, and data-analysis skills.
• Natural Gas Appliance Testing Technician certification, or willingness to obtain it after hiring.

• Inspection and training experience.
• Experience with Salesforce-based CRM systems.
