Associate, Global Investment Banking

Location: Toronto, ON, Canada. Legal eligibility to work at the specified location and, where applicable, a valid work or study permit are required. The proportion of on-site and remote work will be discussed during the interview.

Salary: $135,000 annualized base salary.

What you will do

• Conduct industry, company, market, and quantitative research to support client strategy and transaction execution.
• Prepare client presentations, pitch materials, strategic recommendations, and supporting analysis.
• Build, maintain, and review valuation, operating, and transaction financial models.
• Support live mergers and acquisitions, advisory, equity financing, and debt financing transactions through due diligence, workstream coordination, and timeline management.
• Develop relationships with clients, prospects, market participants, senior bankers, and internal product partners.
• Maintain comparable company materials, internal databases, and other team resources.

Requirements

• At least 2 years of relevant experience in investment banking, corporate finance, private equity, asset management, financial institutions coverage, transaction advisory, or a related field.
• Degree or diploma in finance, accounting, economics, mathematics, business, or a related discipline.
• Experience with financial modelling, valuation analysis, accounting concepts, and Microsoft Office, including Excel, PowerPoint, and Word.
• Ability to analyze complex financial and strategic issues and translate detailed data into clear insights.
• Legal eligibility to work in Canada at the specified location; a valid work or study permit may be required.
• Collaborative approach with strong judgment, accountability, and relationship-building skills.

Nice to have

• Experience supporting clients in financial services or private capital sectors.
• Progress toward or completion of a CFA, CPA, MBA, or Master of Finance.
• Experience with Bloomberg, FactSet, or similar market data and research platforms.
• French proficiency.
