Director, Global Investment Banking (Energy Infrastructure)

What you will do

• Support client origination and advisory mandates involving M&A, divestitures, equity and debt financings, and other strategic transactions.
• Develop, review, and audit sophisticated financial models, valuation analyses, comparable company analyses, and precedent transaction analyses.
• Execute transactions by coordinating due diligence, information flow, offering memoranda, investor presentations, and other marketing materials.
• Research energy, infrastructure, and transition-sector companies and markets to identify opportunities and support client recommendations.
• Collaborate with Capital Markets colleagues, global offices, legal counsel, auditors, accounting advisors, and other external partners.
• Mentor junior team members and build relationships with clients, internal partners, and market participants.

Requirements

• 5+ years of experience in investment banking, M&A, corporate finance, private equity, or energy, infrastructure, and transition sectors.
• Experience in financial modeling and analysis, valuation methodologies, accounting principles, and business combinations.
• Undergraduate degree in finance, accounting, mathematics, computer science, economics, or a related field.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Excel, Word, and PowerPoint.
• Strong client relationship, communication, analytical thinking, and judgment skills.
• Legal eligibility to work in Canada and a valid work or study permit where applicable.

Nice to have

• CPA or CFA designation.
• Detailed knowledge of the Canadian energy or infrastructure sector.
• Experience with Bloomberg, FactSet, or Argus Enterprise.
