Back-End Engineer (Fintech)

Location: Vilnius, Lithuania; hybrid work with most team members in the office two days a week

Salary: €3,100–€4,660 gross per month, depending on experience.

What you will do

• Develop and improve the existing monolith and microservice ecosystem.
• Improve code quality, performance, and maintainability across the engineering codebase.
• Build and improve internal developer tooling and workflows.
• Resolve cross-team technical issues that block other engineers.
• Drive AI adoption by optimizing engineering processes with AI tooling.
• Progressively adopt .NET as the technology stack evolves.

Requirements

• Large-scale production experience with PHP or .NET.
• Experience working with SQL or MySQL databases.
• Experience with Dockerized environments and CI/CD flows using GHA or Jenkins.
• Proficiency with AI development tools such as Claude Code or Cursor.
• Strong ownership, a service mindset, and the ability to work across multiple engineering teams.
• Adaptability and willingness to learn new technology stacks.

Nice to have

• TypeScript or web development exposure.
• Mobile app development experience.
• Experience with AWS, Kubernetes, CloudFormation or Terraform, and DataDog.
