Mid-Senior PHP Developer (Symfony)

Location: Hybrid work in Vilnius or Kaunas, Lithuania

Salary: €3,500–€6,000 gross per month, with flexibility based on skills and competencies

What you will do

• Write, test, and deploy PHP code for new product functionality.
• Troubleshoot production issues, fix bugs, and maintain application stability.
• Refactor legacy code and improve existing logic within the product architecture.
• Write unit and integration tests to prevent regressions.
• Participate in grooming sessions, estimate work, and review code.
• Build solutions that follow established technical standards and architecture.

Requirements

• Deep knowledge of PHP and professional experience with Symfony.
• Understanding of Docker, Git workflows, branching, pull requests, and code reviews.
• Experience with relational databases such as MySQL, MariaDB, or PostgreSQL, including schema design, queries, indexing, and optimization.
• Knowledge of OOP, RESTful APIs, software architecture, and design patterns.
• Experience writing unit and integration tests and working with message queue systems.
• Fluency in written and spoken English; hybrid work in Vilnius or Kaunas is required.

Nice to have

• Experience mentoring and supporting other developers.
• Scrum experience and DevOps fundamentals, including CI.
• Experience with Go, Google Cloud, Kubernetes, microservices, or payment systems such as Stripe or Clearbridge.
• Understanding of AI concepts and coding tools or familiarity with Salesforce.
