Project Engineering Intern (Nuclear Engineering)

Location: East Farmingdale, New York, United States. This role requires candidates to be U.S. citizens and U.S. persons eligible to access export-controlled information.

Pay rate: $19.00–$23.00 per hour.

Target Rock designs and manufactures engineered solenoid valves and related products for the U.S. Navy nuclear fleet and the global nuclear power generation industry.

What you will do

• Interact with mechanical engineering, manufacturing, and quality control teams.
• Perform nonconformance reviews and dispositions.
• Prepare project closeout documentation, including certification data sheets.
• Prepare production test data summary reports.
• Create electronic assembly and test procedures using NoMuda Visual Factory.

Requirements

• U.S. citizenship and U.S.-person status are required because the role may involve ITAR- or EAR-controlled information.
• Currently enrolled in a four-year Bachelor of Science degree program in engineering.
• Mechanical or nuclear engineering studies are preferred.
• College or trade school education in mechanical drawing and related areas.
