Senior Firmware Engineer (C/C++)

Location: San Jose, California, USA; hybrid model with onsite work at the San Jose office 2–3 days per week and remote work on the remaining days.

Annual base salary: $150,000–$210,000, depending on location and experience.

What you will do

• Design firmware solutions aligned with project requirements and industry standards.
• Write, test, debug, and maintain firmware code in C and C++ for microcontrollers and embedded systems.
• Lead firmware projects from concept through production, including timeline management.
• Integrate firmware with hardware components in collaboration with hardware engineers.
• Identify and resolve complex firmware issues and bugs through in-depth analysis.
• Create and maintain design specifications, user manuals, and other technical documentation.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, or a related field.
• Extensive experience developing firmware for embedded systems.
• Proficiency in C and C++.
• Strong knowledge of microcontrollers, embedded systems, and hardware integration.
• Exceptional problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
• Excellent communication and teamwork abilities.
• Proven experience leading complex projects from concept to completion.
