Technical Requirements
Proven experience as a Business Analyst within payments, transaction banking or a related financial services environment.
Strong understanding of domestic and international payment processes and payment lifecycles.
Practical knowledge of ISO 20022 and SWIFT MT/MX messaging standards.
Understanding of payment reporting, compliance and regulatory requirements.
Experience documenting business processes, functional requirements and end-to-end payment workflows.
Hands-on experience with Host-to-Host (H2H), API-based and file-based payment integrations.
Strong analytical, documentation and stakeholder management skills.
Fluent English

Nice to Have:

Experience working with UAE banking and payment systems.
Previous exposure to payment recalls, returns, rejects and exception management processes.
Knowledge of operational workflows surrounding payment investigations and resolution.

Main Responsibilities
Analyse end-to-end payment processes, journeys and transaction flows across domestic, international and internal payments.
Define and document business requirements for payment initiation, authorization, processing, status tracking, recalls and returns.
Capture H2H, API-based and file-based payment scenarios and translate them into clear functional requirements.
Support the implementation of ISO 20022 and SWIFT MT/MX messaging standards.
Analyse and document payment reporting and regulatory requirements.
Develop business rules, process flows, exception scenarios and acceptance criteria for delivery teams.
Identify potential gaps, risks and process improvements across payment journeys.
Work closely with business, operations, compliance and technology stakeholders to ensure requirements are understood and solutions align with business objectives.

About the project
Payments

We are seeking an experienced Payments Business Analyst to support the analysis, design and delivery of payment solutions covering UAE domestic payments, international transactions and internal transfers.

The role will focus on understanding and optimizing end-to-end payment processes, translating business needs into clear functional requirements, and working closely with technology and delivery teams to ensure payment solutions meet operational, regulatory and customer requirements.

Start date: September

Project duration: 10 months

Verification process: technical interview + project interview

Important:

If a candidate successfully completes the recruitment process, they will be required to undergo an identification verification prior to employment.
