Senior Consultant, Business Systems Analysis (Payments)

Location: Toronto, ON, Canada; hybrid arrangement with 1–3 days per week on-site at Toronto-81 Bay

Requirements

• 8 years of experience as a Business Systems Analyst in Agile, Waterfall, or hybrid delivery environments.
• Experience in banking, payments, financial services, or a financial institution.
• Strong knowledge of enterprise applications, integrations, APIs, messaging, batch processing, and preferably mainframe platforms.
• Knowledge of payment standards and capabilities, including ISO 20022, real-time payments, fraud and risk controls, and resiliency.
• Experience with requirements elicitation, workshops, process modeling, user stories, acceptance criteria, traceability, and testing support.
• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent in Computer Science or a technical discipline; legal eligibility to work in Canada is required.

What you will do

• Advise delivery teams and business leaders on scope, priorities, risks, and solution considerations.
• Partner with business, product, operations, technology, risk, and subject-matter stakeholders to align requirements and decisions.
• Gather, analyze, and document business, functional, integration, data, and non-functional requirements.
• Facilitate workshops and translate features into user stories, acceptance criteria, process flows, data flows, and traceability documentation.
• Support solution design, impact and dependency analysis, control alignment, and vendor solution assessments.
• Use tools including JIRA, Confluence, Visio, SQL, Microsoft Office, and AI-enabled productivity tools to support delivery quality.
