What you will do

  • Lead crisis-response and disaster-risk-reduction projects from needs assessment and planning through implementation, monitoring, evaluation, and reporting.
  • Assess emergency needs and design technically appropriate water supply, hygiene, and sanitation interventions.
  • Develop project specifications, standard operating procedures, implementation strategies, risk plans, and monitoring frameworks.
  • Oversee technical designs, tender documents, contracts, budgets, suppliers, consultants, contractors, and project timelines.
  • Coordinate with emergency staff, sector leads, grants and partnership teams, consortium partners, local authorities, UN clusters, and other stakeholders.
  • Provide technical supervision, mentorship, training, performance support, and day-to-day management for emergency response staff.

Requirements

  • Degree in environmental health science, community development, social development, nursing, public health, or a related field.
  • At least three years of relevant experience in WASH, public health, community development, emergency response, humanitarian work, or development programming.
  • Strong understanding of humanitarian standards, disease outbreaks, disaster risk management, and emergency response.
  • Experience conducting humanitarian needs assessments, participatory community engagement, negotiation, program planning, implementation, monitoring, and evaluation.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication, interpersonal, teamwork, and relationship-building skills.
  • Good computer application skills, including MS Office.
