Salary: $137,760–$195,552 per year for the Senior Electrical Design Engineer role. A Staff Electrical Design Engineer range of $162,360–$230,472 is also listed.

What you will do

  • Own flight hardware engineering from concept and design through build, qualification, flight integration, and operations.
  • Select components and perform design analysis, schematic capture, multilayer circuit board design, prototyping, board bring-up, debugging, validation, and documentation.
  • Analyze and troubleshoot electronic assemblies while developing circuits, fixtures, tools, and improved product and manufacturing processes.
  • Support mission operations through real-time flight input, data reviews, hardware performance monitoring, and avionics operations improvements.
  • Define acceptance and qualification requirements, conduct development and qualification testing, and document test results.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional experts to deliver efficient, manufacturable, reliable, and functional fielded systems.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in electrical engineering or another engineering discipline.
  • At least 5 years of experience in avionics design, analysis, and/or unit-level testing.
  • Experience using avionics test equipment, including oscilloscopes, multimeters, and current probes.
  • Experience designing analog, digital, or mixed-signal multilayer PCBs.
  • Must qualify as a U.S. person under U.S. export control rules or be eligible for deemed export licensing.
  • Strong written and verbal communication, accountability, integrity, and ability to work autonomously in a fast-paced environment.

Nice to have

  • PCBA design experience with Altium or similar software.
  • Experience with NX or similar CAD software.
  • Experience analyzing schematics, electronics manufacturing, and test coverage.
  • Hands-on experience sizing, installing, and troubleshooting electronic components.
  • Experience with network analyzers, power supplies, and other electrical test equipment.
