Associate Predictive Modeler (Python)

Location: Remote from the United States; the role works from a home office, with occasional attendance at important departmental meetings or team-building events as required.

Salary: $75,000–$85,000 annually, plus annual performance-based bonus potential.

What you will do

• Collect and preprocess data from multiple sources for predictive modeling and reporting.
• Conduct statistical analysis to identify patterns and relationships in data.
• Support the development and testing of predictive models used to drive profitable growth, combat fraud, and inform business decisions.
• Assist senior modelers with analysis rate revisions and changes across lines of business.
• Document modeling processes, methodologies, findings, and internal systems.
• Present research and statistical analysis to support corporate decision-making.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in mathematics, actuarial science, statistics, or a related field.
• Internship, coursework, project, or research experience in statistics, data analysis, machine learning, or a related area.
• Experience supporting data requests, manipulating data for modeling, performing research, and applying statistical analysis.
• Knowledge of predictive modeling, programming, databases, and data-mining principles.
• Knowledge of SAS, SQL, Python, R, or a similar data-mining application.
• Must be eligible to work lawfully in the United States immediately; visa sponsorship is not available.

Nice to have

• Master’s degree in mathematics, actuarial science, statistics, or a related field.
• Less than one year of insurance-related statistical or predictive modeling experience.
• Experience with personal-lines property and casualty insurance and actuarial research.
