Senior IT Systems Engineer I

Location: Onsite at hirify.global's global headquarters in Long Beach, California, United States. U.S. citizenship is required due to program requirements and ITAR-related access restrictions.

Base pay range: $115,000–$140,000 USD annually.

What you will do

• Implement, administer, and operate platform and operating system environments including VMware, Kubernetes, Linux, and Windows Server and Client.
• Manage cloud infrastructure and provide subject matter expertise for IT systems and infrastructure projects.
• Lead planning and deployment for infrastructure projects, upgrades, migrations, and continuous improvement initiatives.
• Create and maintain automated software delivery, operating system deployment, and configuration management processes across the enterprise SCCM hierarchy.
• Create, test, and distribute operating systems, application packages, scripts, and batch programs.
• Troubleshoot hardware and software issues and perform risk mitigation activities during system changes and transitions.

Requirements

• 5+ years of experience with a bachelor's degree, or equivalent experience with a high school diploma or GED and 9+ total years of experience.
• In-depth Windows Server administration knowledge, including Active Directory, Group Policy, PKI certificate management, DNS, or DHCP.
• Experience with AWS and/or enterprise Microsoft 365 and Azure environments.
• Experience with one or more of Kubernetes, VMware, Linux, configuration management, automation, or infrastructure as code.
• Experience with server and storage hardware, backups, NetApp, Pure Storage, hyperconverged infrastructure, or VoIP phone systems.
• Must be eligible to work in the United States and meet applicable ITAR access requirements.

Nice to have

• Specialist certification in AWS, Azure, Microsoft, or a related area.
• Experience with Juniper or Cisco switching, IPsec, SSL VPNs, or firewalls.
• Knowledge of ISO 27001, NIST 800-171, CMMC, or CUI security frameworks and technologies.
• Experience configuring and managing Fortinet firewalls.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
