Systems Engineer-IT (DevOps)

Location: Herndon, Virginia, United States. US Citizenship, an active TS/SCI, and an adjudicated CI Polygraph prior to start are required.

What you will do

• Support initial deployment, integration, and site coordination for DC-MLS Enterprise implementations.
• Administer, configure, and troubleshoot Unix and Linux systems.
• Develop automation with Python, Perl, Korn shell, Bourne/Bash, Ansible, and related scripting technologies.
• Build and improve DevOps deployment automation, software builds, configuration management, testing, and operational processes.
• Maintain configuration baselines and use CVS, SVN, Git, GitLab, and GitLab CI across deployment environments.
• Coordinate with systems engineering, software development, infrastructure, cybersecurity, HPC, mission teams, deployment sites, and program stakeholders.

Requirements

• 5 or more years of combined experience in Linux administration, scripting, software development, configuration management, DevOps, or systems engineering.
• Strong Unix and Linux knowledge with proficiency in Python, Perl, Korn shell, Bourne/Bash, Ansible, and shell scripting.
• Experience with deployment automation, repeatable system deployment, configuration management, and technical troubleshooting.
• Experience with revision control platforms such as CVS, SVN, Git, GitLab, or GitLab CI.
• Security+ certification, active TS/SCI with an adjudicated CI Polygraph prior to start, and US Citizenship are required.

Nice to have

• Experience with DC-MLS, multi-level secure systems, cross-domain solutions, or controlled environments.
• Experience with enterprise deployments, site activation, integration, fielded operations, HPC systems, or classified systems.
• Experience with GitLab CI, CI/CD pipelines, automated testing, software deployment frameworks, or Agile engineering.
