PRN Medical Assistant - Eastern Shore Area (Maryland)

Location: MD-Centreville, Maryland, United States; onsite role

Pay: $22.00–$28.00 per hour, depending on geographic location, experience, and skills

What you will do

• Support a primary care physician and deliver a positive patient experience across clinical and reception activities.
• Prepare exam rooms, escort patients, review health information, and collect updated patient data.
• Take vital signs, perform blood draws, administer medications and immunizations, dress wounds, and assist with procedures.
• Manage scheduling, check-in and check-out, medical record requests, referrals, specialist visits, and outside care coordination.
• Document patient information accurately, process test results, and communicate results according to provider instructions.
• Conduct patient outreach, help identify gaps in care, and maintain clinical supplies and equipment.

Requirements

• At least one year of Medical Assistant experience, preferably in primary care.
• Graduation from a formal Medical Assistant or related program.
• National or state-specific Medical Assistant certification or registration is preferred and required where mandated by state law.
• CPR/BLS certification is required by the start date.
• Phlebotomy experience is preferred.
