Company

hirify.global is a venture-backed defense-tech company developing intelligent systems, autonomous aircraft, autonomy software, and simulation technologies.

What you will do

  • Design fuel storage, transfer, distribution, and venting systems for high-performance, long-endurance UAVs.
  • Perform fluid and thermal analysis to optimize flow efficiency, pressure regulation, system mass, and endurance.
  • Integrate fuel systems with propulsion, avionics, and thermal management systems.
  • Run CFD simulations, bench testing, and validation of pumps, valves, sensors, and tanks.
  • Create system schematics, design documentation, and verification plans for engineering reviews and flight-test readiness.
  • Coordinate with suppliers, qualify components, and troubleshoot fuel-system issues during prototype builds and flight-test campaigns.

Requirements

  • B.S. or M.S. degree in aerospace, mechanical, or a related engineering discipline.
  • 4–7 years of experience in fuel or fluid systems design, analysis, or integration.
  • Working knowledge of CFD and thermal/fluid simulation tools, including ANSYS Fluent, OpenFOAM, or MATLAB/Simulink.
  • Experience with pumps, valves, and sensors used in fuel or hydraulic systems.
  • Familiarity with aerospace environmental and certification standards such as DO-160 and MIL-STD-810.
  • Ability to obtain a S//SAR-level security clearance is desired.

Nice to have

  • Experience with UAV, fighter, or propulsion-system integration.
  • Hands-on prototype build, testing, and troubleshooting experience.
  • Familiarity with CATIA, NX, or SolidWorks.
  • Exposure to mission-endurance optimization and energy-management strategies.

Culture & Benefits

  • Cross-functional collaboration across autonomy, flight science, propulsion, and fluid-systems disciplines.
  • Regular employee package includes bonus, benefits, and equity.
  • Offers are contingent on a cleared background and possible reference check.
  • Equal opportunity workplace and affirmative action employer.
