Director, US IT Asset Management (ITAM)

Location: Chicago, Illinois, United States. Work arrangement and the proportion of onsite and remote work will be discussed during the interview. Candidates must be legally eligible to work at the specified location; visa sponsorship is not available.

Salary: $165,000–$240,000 per year, based on experience, qualifications, and location. Additional incentive compensation may be available.

What you will do

• Lead the regional IT Asset Management strategy and operating model in alignment with enterprise standards.
• Oversee end-to-end hardware and software asset lifecycles, including planning, acquisition, deployment, maintenance, refresh, and retirement.
• Lead ITAM teams, tools, and continuous improvement initiatives while coaching and developing team members.
• Partner with enterprise stakeholders, vendors, and service providers to align priorities and support cross-functional outcomes.
• Maintain governance, inventory accuracy, compliance, reporting, and reliable asset data.
• Manage budgets, risks, licensing, and optimization opportunities to improve the value of technology assets.

Requirements

• 12–15 years of related experience in IT Asset Management or technology leadership, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Strong knowledge of hardware and software asset lifecycle practices in large, complex, preferably regulated environments.
• Degree or diploma in Computer Science, Engineering, Information Technology, Business Administration, Finance, Operations Management, or a related field, or relevant certifications and experience.
• Expert knowledge of banking products, services, industry regulations, and current technology trends.
• Strong leadership, communication, analytical, relationship management, and stakeholder influence skills.
• Experience overseeing risk management frameworks, regulatory compliance, audit and compliance relationships, and reporting.
