Senior Manufacturing Engineer, Integrated Components (Aerospace)

Salary: $122,000–$182,000 USD per year

What you will do

• Own and develop manufacturing and test processes for 3D-printed and machined Aeon-R engine components and subassemblies.
• Improve manufacturability, assembly, quality, reliability, lead time, cost, and on-time delivery.
• Write work instructions and process plans, train technicians, conduct root cause analysis, and implement corrective actions.
• Manage external manufacturing partners and suppliers in collaboration with supply chain.
• Work hands-on in a high-mix hardware environment and lead projects across functions.
• Help build the manufacturing team while delivering flight hardware for propulsion integration and testing.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in engineering or a related technical field and 5+ years of relevant manufacturing engineering experience.
• Knowledge of propulsion systems, mechanics of materials, and thermal-fluid systems.
• Experience with additive and subtractive manufacturing, precision inspection, GD&T according to ASME Y14.5, and FEA using Ansys or similar tools.
• Experience designing tooling with Siemens NX or other CAD tools, including modeling, analysis, and fabrication.
• Vendor management experience, including supplier selection, defect disposition, and quality management.
• Ability to work hands-on with technicians and drive process improvements for complex assemblies.

Nice to have

• Experience with propulsion development programs.
• Experience transitioning products from development to high-volume production.
• Hands-on experience with CNC machining, welding, and high-pressure testing.
• Experience writing formal process specifications and manufacturing standards.
