What you will do

• Manage branch activities, profitability, operations, transactions, servicing, sales, and digital engagement.
• Lead, coach, and develop branch staff, including hiring, performance management, promotions, and staffing decisions.
• Identify retail and business banking needs and grow customer relationships through proactive outreach and community presence.
• Process Business Banking loan requests up to $250,000 and bundle products and services as appropriate.
• Resolve complex account servicing and error-resolution issues while improving future issue handling.
• Maintain compliance, security, fraud-prevention, audit, regulatory, and internal-control standards.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree, or four years of relevant experience in lieu of a degree.
• At least three years of sales experience and two years of managerial experience or demonstrated leadership ability.
• Strong knowledge of Business Banking products, services, and client relationship management.
• M&T Way Certified and Precision Leadership Certified.
• Ability to use common PC software, including Microsoft Office, word processing, and spreadsheets.
• Life, Accident, and Health Insurance licensing may be required within 18 months; Business Banking Specialist requirements must be completed within 18 months of hire.

• Spanish or bilingual communication skills.
• Demonstrated success in sales and business development with an understanding of profitability.
• Strong financial services product knowledge and exceptional customer service coaching ability.
• Experience with internet and email.
