What you will do

  • Develop forward and inverse kinematics, redundancy resolution, and other advanced algorithms for real-time robotic systems with 6+ degrees of freedom.
  • Own and maintain a shared kinematics library used across multiple robotics software products.
  • Develop calibration tools and methodologies for diverse robot calibration workflows.
  • Model robot motion and support multi-axis synchronization.
  • Serve as the subject matter expert for robot kinematics, motion modeling, and calibration.
  • Collaborate with welders, data scientists, material scientists, and other cross-functional robotics and manufacturing teams.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree required; a master’s degree is preferred in Robotics Engineering, Control Systems Engineering, Computer Science, or a related technical field.
  • 3+ years of experience developing kinematics algorithms for underactuated and redundant robotic systems.
  • Strong expertise in robot kinematic modeling and calibration using industrial metrology and localization hardware such as Leica and OptiTrack.
  • High proficiency in C++, Linux, and modern software engineering practices, with experience developing in Python.
  • Experience designing modular, extensible software architectures for diverse robot kinematics and configurations.
  • Experience with ROS and open-source robotics libraries.

Nice to have

  • Experience with multi-robot coordination and synchronization.
  • Experience with mobile manipulators.
  • Experience developing software for real-time robotic systems.
  • PhD in Robotics, Control Systems, or a related technical field.
