Motion Planning Engineer (Autonomous Vehicles)

Salary: $130,000–$182,000 per year, plus annual performance bonus and equity

What you will do

• Build and integrate software and algorithms for path planning, behavioral planning, and vehicle control.
• Develop, implement, evaluate, and launch robotic motion-planning algorithms such as A* and CC-RRT.
• Work with vehicle modeling and kinematics for autonomous driving systems.
• Create computationally efficient software that meets real-time requirements.

Requirements

• BS, MS, or PhD in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or a related field.
• 3+ years of experience in motion planning, AI, or autonomy for real-world applications.
• Expertise in numerical optimization techniques, AI, or robotics.
• Ability to develop software for real-time computational requirements.

Nice to have

• Experience designing and implementing robotic or vehicle systems.
• Knowledge of ROS and Linux development.
• Experience in automotive or aerospace environments and safety-critical code.
• Experience with SLAM, probabilistic filtering, reinforcement learning, or real-time sensor fusion using IMU, lidar, cameras, odometry, or radar.
