Propulsion Test Technician III

Location: On-site at Stennis Space Center, Mississippi, United States. Occasional night shifts and travel are required. Successful candidates must pass a US government-administered background check to obtain clearance for on-site work at the government partner location.

Salary: $33.20–$45.65 USD per hour

What you will do

• Install, maintain, troubleshoot, and repair propulsion test systems and facility equipment.
• Diagnose system-level mechanical, fluid, instrumentation, and control issues.
• Fabricate and install mechanical and instrumentation systems for new or modified test facilities.
• Perform maintenance and functional verification of instrumentation and control components.
• Support commissioning activities and coordinate maintenance work around test schedules.
• Provide technical guidance to technicians during testing and maintenance.

Requirements

• Experience supporting propulsion testing, industrial maintenance, instrumentation, controls, mechanical systems, or related technical environments.
• Experience troubleshooting complex fluid systems, valves, regulators, and mechanical assemblies.
• Experience troubleshooting instrumentation, data acquisition systems, sensors, and control hardware.
• Ability to interpret engineering documentation and apply it to field activities.
• Ability to lift at least 50 lbs. unassisted and work for extended periods while standing, bending, crawling, and working in confined spaces.
• Ability to pass a US government-administered background check for on-site work at the Stennis, Mississippi government partner location.
