TL;DR
Propulsion Test Technician (Aerospace): Developing, maintaining, and operating propulsion test hardware, facilities, and test rigs for aircraft engine reliability and performance with an accent on hazardous fluid systems, instrumentation, and test operations. Focus on building and troubleshooting pneumatic and fluid systems, integrating test hardware, monitoring test data, and supporting propulsion and flight test campaigns.

What you will do

  • Develop, maintain, and operate propulsion test hardware, facilities, and test rigs.
  • Support test operations involving high-pressure and hazardous fluid systems, instrumentation, and controlled hazardous areas.
  • Connect instrumentation, troubleshoot test hardware and data systems, and monitor test video and data.
  • Build, test, modify, and inspect test articles and test equipment.
  • Fabricate and assemble pneumatic and fluid systems, mechanical assemblies, control systems, and instrumentation.
  • Travel to support propulsion and flight test campaigns and work overtime or weekends when required.

Requirements

  • High school diploma, associate degree, or equivalent certificate.
  • Experience with hardware assembly, testing, or facility and infrastructure build-out.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills, including the ability to read and provide feedback on technical documents.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
  • Ability to obtain and maintain a security clearance.
  • Valid driver’s license and clean driving record.

Nice to have

  • Experience in a startup development environment or a flight and propulsion development program.
  • A&P license.
  • Hands-on aerospace hardware integration experience.
  • Knowledge of AN (JIC) and Swagelok fluid connections, stainless-steel tubing fabrication, bending, flaring, and assembly.
  • Experience with electrical systems or jet engine test cells.
