TL;DR
Technical Project Manager (Aerospace): Leading cross-functional development of hardware, software, and technical artifacts for artificial-gravity human-rated space stations with an accent on safety, quality, and delivery discipline. Focus on managing scope, schedules, costs, risks, and priorities across engineering and mission operations while delivering Haven-1 and future space-station products.

Location: Onsite in Long Beach, California, United States. Travel up to 15% may be required.

Salary: $123,000–$190,000 USD annually, depending on level and qualifications.

hirify.global develops next-generation commercial space stations, including the Haven-1 station, to support long-term human presence in space, microgravity research, manufacturing, and a new space economy.

What you will do

  • Lead complex, multidisciplinary projects from start to finish across electrical, mechanical, industrial design, software, and mission operations.
  • Coordinate development of hardware, software, and technical artifacts supporting Haven-1 and future products.
  • Manage project scope, schedules, costs, priorities, risks, and status reporting for technical development projects.
  • Drive product development with a strong focus on safety, quality, and timely execution.
  • Maintain complete and current schedules and program documentation for staff and leadership review.
  • Apply first-principles problem solving and lead conflict resolution and decision-making with urgency.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in mechanical engineering, aerospace engineering, or a related engineering field.
  • At least 2 years of successful contributions in an engineering discipline, such as design, analysis, or manufacturing.
  • Experience contributing to end-to-end product lifecycle management and delivering a product or initiative to market.
  • Experience with project management and reporting tools such as MS Project, SmartSheet, Jira, or Confluence.
  • Must be a U.S. person or otherwise eligible for deemed export licensing under U.S. export-control requirements.
  • Ability to lift up to 25 pounds unassisted and willingness to work overtime, evenings, or weekends during critical mission milestones.

Nice to have

  • Master’s degree in mechanical engineering, aerospace engineering, or a related field.
  • At least 1 year of cross-functional technical leadership in project engineering, systems engineering, or engineering management.
  • New product introduction experience or experience developing and delivering space-flight hardware.
  • Experience working across business units and engineering disciplines.
  • Relevant certifications.
