  • Coordinate engineering collaboration, internal and external reviews, and stakeholder alignment across complex missions.
  • Establish closed-loop requirements management connecting customer feedback with engineering design inputs and intended use cases.
  • Develop technical proposals, interface requirements, operational use cases, performance justifications, and new programs for DoD and DOE sponsors.
  • Research markets, use cases, and CONOPS while creating technical roadmaps for deployment readiness.
  • Contribute to system architecture and interface specifications, including deployment logistics, facility interfaces, transportation, commissioning, and decommissioning.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in engineering, physics, or applied science.
  • 3+ years of experience in complex, safety-critical, defense, or aerospace programs with accountability for cost, schedule, and technical performance.
  • Systems engineering proficiency, agile practices, and cross-disciplinary systems thinking.
  • Strong foundations in thermodynamics, thermofluids, energy systems, and engineering economics, with hardware development or integration experience in energy, automotive, nuclear, or aerospace.
  • Strong communication and technical writing skills with business-minded technical decision-making.
  • Must meet U.S. Government export-control requirements: U.S. citizen or national, lawful permanent resident, refugee, asylee, or eligible to obtain the required authorizations.

Nice to have

  • Master’s degree or PhD in engineering.
  • Python for numerical or multiphysics work and familiarity with Git and CI/CD.
  • Transportation logistics experience and experience with DoD, DOE, NASA, USAF, or USSF sponsors.
  • PMP or another relevant project management certification.
  • Leadership experience on a project or research team and startup experience.
  • Ability to obtain a Top Secret or Top Secret SCI clearance.

Culture & Benefits

  • On-site collaboration in a 322,000-square-foot R&D and production facility.
  • Values include systems thinking, end-user focus, unconventional problem-solving, direct stakeholder engagement, and operating effectively amid uncertainty.
  • Long hours and weekends may be required to support critical milestones.
  • Stock option package included in addition to salary.
