Relationship Banker (Retail Banking)

Location: North Haven, Connecticut, United States of America; onsite branch role with face-to-face customer interaction.

Salary: $22.61–$37.67 per hour (USD).

What you will do

• Assess customer needs, identify sales opportunities, open accounts, and refer complex needs to the appropriate banking partners.
• Conduct proactive outreach by phone and email to onboard customers, schedule appointments, follow up, and educate clients about relevant products and services.
• Prepare for and conduct customer meetings, provide branch servicing, and support customer flow and overall branch goals.
• Complete customer profile research and transition interactions into needs-based discussions about financial goals.
• Apply KYC, CIP, fraud prevention, audit, and operational risk controls, including compliance with applicable regulatory standards.
• Maintain registration requirements under the Federal SAFE Act and keep current with product, operational, and system changes.

Requirements

• High school diploma or GED plus either 2 years of retail sales, call center, customer service, or telesales experience, or 1 year of proactive sales experience.
• Strong verbal communication, interpersonal, customer service, organization, time management, and prioritization skills.
• Demonstrated financial services product knowledge and the ability to communicate tactfully with internal and external customers.
• Proficiency with internet user-level technology and common communication tools, including telephone systems, fax, and copier equipment.
• Ability to stand for extended periods, use hands and fingers for prolonged periods, read fine print, and lift objects weighing 5–30 pounds.

Nice to have

• Associate degree.
