Staff Software Engineer (AI Infrastructure)

Salary: $152,000–$282,000 per year, depending on geographic market, skills, knowledge, and experience.

What you will do

• Design and implement a next-generation Resource Manager and AI developer tools for secure, policy-compliant data access across hybrid environments.
• Lead scalable, event-driven microservices for resource management.
• Build developer tools for workflow orchestration, model management, observability, and operational efficiency.
• Define end-to-end machine learning model development lifecycle experiences with Product, TPM, and Compliance stakeholders.
• Improve platform reliability, performance, monitoring, and incident management.
• Own critical platform initiatives from design through operation and continuous improvement while mentoring engineers.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related technical field.
• At least 8 years of professional software development experience, or 6 years with an advanced degree.
• Experience designing, building, and operating large-scale distributed systems in cloud environments.
• Proficiency in Java, Go, Python, or another modern programming language.
• Experience with AWS, Azure, or GCP and cloud-native development practices.
• Strong understanding of data governance, compliance, and access control in distributed systems.

Nice to have

• Experience with Kafka, Cassandra, ClickHouse, MongoDB, Kubernetes, Docker, gRPC, Spring, or microservices architecture.
• Experience building infrastructure or platforms for machine learning and AI workloads.
• Experience with TensorFlow, PyTorch, ONNX, Prometheus, Grafana, or the ELK stack.
• Expertise in Java Spring Boot, Hibernate, and RESTful API design.
• Experience leading complex technical initiatives and influencing cross-functional stakeholders.
