Salary: $115,527–$173,291 per year, plus bonus, benefits, and equity for regular full-time employees.

What you will do

  • Lead the design, validation, and deployment of test systems for X-BAT critical components and subsystems.
  • Architect PCBs and test interfaces for power electronics, RF, and communication systems.
  • Develop scalable, efficient, and repeatable automated test sequences in Python or another scripting language.
  • Design and integrate custom test fixtures using relays, PLCs, PCBAs, and harnesses.
  • Drive cross-functional design reviews and advocate for design-for-testability improvements.
  • Perform HASS, ESS, and HALT testing in simulated harsh environments while mentoring junior engineers.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering or a related STEM field.
  • 3+ years of industry experience in hardware design and test engineering, or equivalent experience with an advanced degree.
  • Deep knowledge of electrical, mechanical, and software engineering principles applied to hardware test systems.
  • Experience designing, implementing, and validating multidisciplinary hardware systems in fast-paced, high-stakes environments.
  • Demonstrated ownership from project concept through execution, along with strong collaboration and problem-solving skills.

Nice to have

  • Experience with PCB design tools such as Altium, KiCAD, or Eagle.
  • Experience with CAD software such as SolidWorks, NX, or CATIA.
  • Background in aerospace, defense, automotive, or other rugged high-reliability industries.
  • Ability to pivot quickly in dynamic and evolving environments.
