Salary: $110,000–$166,000 USD annually, plus equity.
Company
develops rockets and launch infrastructure, including the Terran R vehicle, to deliver customer payloads to orbit.
What you will do
- Build and maintain relationships with state, county, and city officials, economic development organizations, workforce organizations, industry associations, and Chambers of Commerce.
- Monitor and analyze state and local legislative, regulatory, and policy developments affecting company operations.
- Advocate for company priorities before state legislatures, regulatory agencies, and local governing bodies.
- Identify opportunities for tax incentives, grants, workforce development programs, and other economic development benefits.
- Coordinate with local governments on permitting, operational concerns, and community relations.
- Represent the company at conferences, public forums, stakeholder meetings, and related events in coordination with Communications.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in political science, public policy, public administration, or a related field.
- 3–5 years of professional experience in government affairs, public policy, legislative affairs, or advocacy, preferably focused on state and local government.
- Ability to build and maintain relationships with government officials and policymakers.
- Strong understanding of state legislative and local government processes.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, including policy materials, testimony, and advocacy documents.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities and stakeholders.
Nice to have
- Existing relationships with elected officials, agency leaders, or staff in California, Florida, or Mississippi.
- Experience in aerospace, advanced manufacturing, defense, technology, or transportation.
- Experience with ports, airports, spaceports, federal ranges, or other critical infrastructure operations.
