Location: Washington, D.C., United States. Full-time position with up to 25% travel. The role requires the ability to obtain an appropriate security clearance and meet U.S. export control eligibility requirements.
Salary: $139,000β$197,000 USD per year

What you will do
- Support and execute government affairs strategy focused on national security space and U.S. government engagement.
- Build relationships with Congressional offices, committees, staff, and executive-branch agencies.
- Prepare briefing materials, meeting plans, follow-ups, policy briefs, talking points, legislative summaries, and advocacy materials.
- Monitor and analyze U.S. defense policy, legislation, appropriations, and NDAA developments affecting commercial space capabilities.
- Partner with Business Development on DoD contracting opportunities, cooperative agreements, and strategic partnerships.
- Identify national security applications for βs commercial capabilities, including resilience, mission assurance, and space domain awareness.
Requirements
- 3β5+ years of experience in government affairs, defense policy, congressional affairs, or national security space.
- Experience engaging Congress on defense, national security, or space policy and funding priorities.
- Experience working with or around the Pentagon, U.S. Space Force, or other national security stakeholders.
- Current lobbyist registration, or the ability and willingness to register as required.
- Understanding of Congressional authorization, appropriations, and NDAA processes.
- Must be a U.S. person or otherwise eligible for deemed export licensing, and must be able to obtain the required security clearance.
Nice to have
- Experience with DoD space programs, government contracting, or government procurement.
- Relationships with armed services, defense appropriations, space, and national security offices or committees.
- Experience in commercial space, aerospace, defense technology, or national security innovation.
- Ability to simplify complex concepts and adapt to changing priorities.
