What you will do

  • Develop, implement, and optimize thermal spray coating processes for gas turbine combustion components, including APS and HVOF applications.
  • Create, modify, and troubleshoot ABB and Fanuc robotic programs, including offline programming with RobotStudio.
  • Provide hands-on technical support to coating operators and production teams on process, equipment, and quality challenges.
  • Lead continuous improvement and advanced manufacturing initiatives focused on process capability, productivity, quality, and cost reduction.
  • Design, adapt, and procure tooling, fixtures, and equipment for thermal spray manufacturing operations.
  • Develop work instructions, train personnel, and support quality assurance activities.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in mechanical engineering, manufacturing engineering, or a related engineering field.
  • 5+ years of experience in thermal spray manufacturing, coatings technology, or a related advanced manufacturing environment.
  • Experience developing and optimizing APS and/or HVOF coating processes.
  • Experience operating, programming, and troubleshooting ABB or Fanuc robotic systems, including offline programming.
  • Knowledge of metallurgical examination methods, coating evaluation practices, and manufacturing quality systems.
  • Must be legally authorized to work in the United States without current or future employer-sponsored work authorization.
