What you will do

• Own the design, routing, and integration of electrical wire harnesses across the Terran R avionics system from conception through qualification and production.
• Define and integrate connectors, cables, supports, and mechanical routing for flight hardware.
• Collaborate with structures, electrical hardware, propulsion, software, GNC, fluids, and stage engineering teams on avionics architecture and requirements.
• Create detailed 3D models, 2D drawings, and electrical designs suitable for manufacturing and testing.
• Validate designs through rapid prototyping and test campaigns.
• Define vehicle-level avionics integration operations, checkouts, and test plans.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Aerospace Engineering, or a related field.
• 5+ years of experience in a full-lifecycle design engineering role.
• Experience designing electrical harnesses and performing mechanical routing in 3D CAD software.
• Experience integrating and testing complex, multidisciplinary electrical systems.

Nice to have

• Proficiency with NX CAD and Teamcenter.
• Experience with Zuken E3 electrical design software.
• Experience with Python, LabView, or C/C++ scripting and software development for hardware bring-up.
• Experience developing electrical and mechanical test fixtures, tools, and production harnesses.
• Experience with hardware-in-the-loop test systems.
