Salary: $137,760–$265,392 per year, depending on level and qualifications.

What you will do

  • Support avionics, RF, power, and GNC electronics development, trade studies, and interface documentation.
  • Design avionics enclosures, mounting solutions, integration brackets, and ruggedized printed circuit board systems for harsh environments.
  • Validate requirements through design, testing, analysis, and inspection, including planning tests and interpreting results.
  • Create assembly, installation, and engineering drawings and support hardware builds.
  • Perform thermal and structural analyses and manage product configuration throughout the lifecycle.
  • Collaborate with mechanical and electrical engineering teams on flight- and mission-critical avionics integration and qualification.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in mechanical engineering, aerospace engineering, or another engineering discipline.
  • 5+ years of experience with electronics packaging or critical electronic components in extreme environments.
  • Professional experience with 3D CAD programs.
  • Experience implementing and analyzing GD&T according to ASME Y14.5.
  • Must be eligible to access information and items subject to U.S. export controls as a U.S. person or through deemed export licensing eligibility.
  • Willingness to work evenings or weekends during critical mission milestones and ability to lift up to 25 lbs unassisted.

Nice to have

  • Master’s degree in mechanical engineering, aerospace engineering, or another engineering discipline.
  • Experience with NX, ruggedized electronics enclosures, environmental testing, or MIL-STD-810.
  • Familiarity with IPC-A-610, J standards, electrical schematic reviews, and Altium or similar software.
  • Experience with ANSYS or similar tools for thermal and structural analysis.
