TL;DR
People Operations Specialist (HR Operations): Supporting the employee lifecycle from onboarding through offboarding while maintaining accurate HRIS data and compliance documentation with an accent on employee support, process accuracy, and data integrity. Focus on improving People Operations processes, resolving employee requests, managing Rippling updates, and supporting employment-law compliance across multiple U.S. states.

Location: Torrance, California, United States. Candidates must be eligible under U.S. ITAR regulations as a U.S. citizen, lawful permanent resident, protected individual, or person eligible to obtain the required authorizations.

Salary: $75,000–$115,000 per year

hirify.global is a space infrastructure company developing phased-array ground stations and communications technology for satellite missions.

What you will do

  • Serve as the primary point of contact for employee questions throughout the people lifecycle.
  • Resolve employee issues directly and escalate complex cases when needed.
  • Prepare and process onboarding, offboarding, and other employee lifecycle documentation.
  • Maintain accurate employee data in Rippling, including job changes, background checks, and lifecycle updates.
  • Support compliance processes, documentation, and audits.
  • Identify employee-experience trends and gaps to improve processes, policies, and communications.

Requirements

  • 2+ years of experience in People Operations, Employee Experience, or a similar shared-service role in a fast-paced organization.
  • Experience improving processes for efficiency and accuracy while maintaining data integrity.
  • Strong judgment, ownership, and ability to escalate complex issues appropriately.
  • Analytical mindset and experience using data to drive program improvements and decisions.
  • Eligibility to work with U.S. ITAR-regulated space technology is required.

Nice to have

  • Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field.
  • Hands-on experience with Rippling or another HRIS.
  • Working knowledge of employment law and compliance requirements across multiple states, particularly California and Washington, D.C.
