Salary: $122,000–$182,000 USD annually

What you will do

  • Own reliability and quality activities across Terran R design, planning, manufacturing, and program execution.
  • Standardize drawings and support design for manufacturability, configuration management, and configuration control.
  • Review work instructions, develop processes, and create standard rework and repair documentation.
  • Perform in-process build verification and coordinate travelled work during manufacturing.
  • Manage nonconformance ticket processes, as-built verification, root-cause analysis, and corrective actions.
  • Develop specifications, inspection walk-down checklists, quality automation initiatives, and DFM practices in collaboration with Engineering, Additive, Manufacturing, Test, and Launch teams.

Requirements

  • Bachelor of Science degree in Engineering or another STEM field.
  • At least 5 years of experience as a Quality Engineer in a fast-paced manufacturing company.
  • Extensive experience working with design engineering, manufacturing, production, and test personnel.
  • In-depth knowledge of aerospace manufacturing, complex assembly practices, and quality processes and controls.
  • Working knowledge of PLM, MES, ERP, and QMS software, with proficiency in GD&T.
  • Ability to solve complex problems, coordinate across multiple teams, establish project goals, and communicate with technical teams and senior management.

Nice to have

  • Knowledge of FMEA, APQP, SPC, and PPV methodologies.
  • Successful hardware-system NPI experience in manufacturing, test, and production environments.
  • Familiarity with high-volume inspection and data-driven acceptance methods.
  • Understanding of AS9100 and ISO 9001 practices for aerospace programs.
  • Experience defining and implementing new processes across diverse teams.
