SALT Manager

Location: Principally in-person across offices in Colorado, Illinois, Ohio, and Massachusetts; local and national travel may be required. Candidates must be legally authorized to work in the United States without sponsorship.

Salary: $100,000–$168,000 per year

What you will do

• Implement sales tax compliance software, integrate it with client ERP systems, and onboard clients onto the existing compliance platform.
• Manage sales tax compliance projects and deliver state and local tax consulting solutions.
• Advise clients on multi-state income tax, franchise tax, sales and use tax, and gross receipts tax matters.
• Define tax objectives, engagement scope, and methodologies while participating in decisions with client management.
• Coach and mentor staff and support their professional development.
• Develop practice growth plans through networking, new client development, and client expansion.

Requirements

• 5+ years of taxation experience in public accounting.
• CPA or Bar License required.
• Strong problem-solving, organization, and deadline-management skills.
• Strong technology skills and familiarity with major sales tax compliance automation vendors.
• Ability to support staff growth through training and empowerment.
• Legal authorization to work in the United States without sponsorship is required.
