Sr Manager - SALT M&A

Salary: $141,900–$284,900 per year, plus discretionary bonus based on firm and individual performance.

What you will do

• Deliver state and local tax due diligence and transaction tax consulting for mergers and acquisitions.
• Manage the SALT components of due diligence and tax structuring engagements.
• Participate in client calls and interview acquisition targets and their tax advisors.
• Analyze nexus, combined and consolidated reporting, sales taxability and exemptions, property tax, and unclaimed property.
• Communicate findings, risks, solutions, and opportunities to clients as part of a multidisciplinary team.
• Identify opportunities for additional services, including net operating loss and distressed-company tax analysis.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university.
• At least eight years of tax experience, including at least five years of SALT experience.
• At least two years of SALT M&A experience in public accounting, a corporate tax department, or a law firm.
• CPA or JD qualification.
• Ability to manage multiple engagements with strong quantification, research, writing, and communication skills.
• Applicants must not require employment sponsorship now or in the future for this role.
