CFS Manager (Logistics)

Location: Brisbane, California, USA; responsibility for CFS operations at SFO Airport CFS, the New Off Airport Facility, and the Sacramento Facility.

Salary: USD 70,304 yearly, plus bonus eligibility.

What you will do

• Lead operational performance and establish consistent CFS standards across airport, off-airport, and regional facilities.
• Oversee receiving, staging, freight release, transfers, cross-dock operations, inventory control, and exception resolution.
• Monitor inventory, dwell, capacity, truck queue time, volume, and other CFS performance metrics.
• Coordinate airport, cartage, airline, customer, service provider, and regional freight movements.
• Manage labor planning, overtime, equipment, facility expenses, productivity, and cost-control initiatives.
• Recruit, train, coach, and develop CFS employees and supervisors while promoting safety, security, accountability, and continuous improvement.

Requirements

• 5+ years of experience in warehouse, CFS, airport cargo, freight forwarding, transportation, distribution, or logistics operations.
• Leadership experience managing warehouse, CFS, airport, cartage, or freight operations teams.
• Strong knowledge of freight receiving, staging, release, transfer, cross-dock operations, inventory control, exception handling, and service provider coordination.
• Experience managing multiple operational locations and working with product managers, service providers, facilities, security, compliance, IT, and district leadership.
• Proficiency with hirify.global operating systems, reporting tools, warehouse tools, and Microsoft Office.
• Technical knowledge of software development principles, Power Automate, Microsoft Copilot, M365, APIs, integrations, system architecture, AI, machine learning, LLMs, and prompt engineering.

Nice to have

• Experience with airport CFS, FTZ, bonded freight, air import or export, GNS, cartage, or gateway operations.
• Experience with CFS metrics, dwell, truck queue time, inventory controls, operational dashboards, facility launches, or service provider transitions.
• Familiarity with cargo security, TSA/CCSF expectations, SIDA environments, customs-controlled freight, and customer audit readiness.
• Experience developing automations, applications, digital solutions, process maps, or productivity programs.
• Microsoft Power Platform, Azure AI, Microsoft Copilot, or related certifications.
