What you will do

• Define and drive long-term technology roadmaps for topological qubits, materials, device architectures, and integration strategies.
• Lead the development of topological quantum devices through experiments, simulations, prototype evaluation, and data analysis.
• Collaborate with device, integration, process, AME, PDK, and test teams to develop scalable semiconductor architectures.
• Guide research on III-V heterostructures, epitaxy, superconductors, and topological material systems.
• Define system architectures connecting qubits with cryogenic control and read-out electronics.
• Serve as a technical interface for customers and research partners, shaping joint development programs, roadmaps, and technical standards.

Requirements

• MS or PhD in Physics, Electrical Engineering, Materials Science, Applied Physics, or a related field.
• 12+ years of experience in quantum devices, semiconductor technologies, or advanced research.
• Deep expertise in topological and superconducting systems, quantum devices, and quantum system architectures.
• Experience with cryogenic device physics and measurement environments.
• Demonstrated impact on technical strategy, research direction, and technology roadmaps.
• Work location: Santa Clara, United States.

Nice to have

• PhD with publications or patents in topological quantum devices.
• Experience scaling research concepts into manufacturable semiconductor platforms.
• Background in Majorana or topological qubit architectures.
• Experience collaborating with quantum companies, academia, or consortia.
• Experience mentoring and guiding technical organizations.
