Quantum Product Research

hirify.global develops hardware and software control systems for quantum computers, supporting scaling from individual qubits to large quantum processor arrays.

What you will do

• Lead research for a new quantum technology initiative and shape its research agenda, measurement approach, and team.
• Build and maintain an end-to-end understanding of qubit and quantum hardware systems.
• Develop practical knowledge of physical setups, control flows, fabrication processes, and key device parameters.
• Define scalable measurement approaches and identify technical bottlenecks.
• Translate research insights into product requirements and reference architectures with product, architecture, and engineering teams.
• Validate approaches through experimentation, modeling, direct device work, and engagement with partners, customers, and the research community.

Requirements

• Ph.D. in quantum physics or a closely related field, with experience in quantum computing technologies, materials, and industrial fabrication processes.
• At least 3 years of experimental quantum physics and/or quantum computing experience with hands-on device work.
• Research leadership experience and the ability to derive deep technical insight from first principles.
• Deep, hands-on experience with superconducting qubits.
• Strong systems thinking, technical judgment, independence, organization, and collaboration skills.
• Excellent oral and written English communication skills and presentation ability are required.
