Machine Learning Engineer - Fraud (Python/ML): Developing, deploying, and monitoring machine learning models and decisioning infrastructure for fraud detection across financial products and international markets with an accent on feature engineering, production-scale pipelines, and model lifecycle ownership. Focus on building scalable fraud authorization and review systems, integrating new data sources, and improving model accuracy and robustness in production.
Location: Mexico City, Mexico; hybrid workplace

What you will do
- Design, build, deploy, optimize, and monitor machine learning models for fraud detection across products and markets.
- Develop infrastructure for manual and automated fraud-risk decisioning, including review queues and transaction authorization systems.
- Build scalable feature-generation and extraction pipelines with the ML Platform and Tooling team.
- Prepare complex datasets, integrate new data sources, and construct rules to improve fraud prediction accuracy and robustness.
- Write production-level code with documentation, testing, and peer review while collaborating with Fraud, Engineering, Product, Risk, and business stakeholders.
- Lead testing, cost-benefit analysis, and integration of new data products and model improvements.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.
- 3+ years of experience as a data scientist, machine learning engineer, data engineer, or in a closely related role.
- High proficiency in Python and related libraries and frameworks such as Scikit-Learn, Pandas, and Flask.
- Knowledge of the complete machine learning lifecycle, including data extraction, feature engineering, model serving, and monitoring for live and batch processing.
- Experience with cloud providers, preferably AWS, and containerization tools such as Docker.
- Good verbal and written communication skills in English and ability to work in a hybrid environment in Mexico City.
Nice to have
- Experience in fraud detection or machine learning applications in financial markets.
- Experience with LLMs, graph databases, or Databricks.
