Data Scientist II (AI/ML)

Location: Hybrid hirify.global Flex model with occasional in-person attendance required. Primary residence must be in or near an approved city in the United States, Canada, or Mexico.

Salary: $97,000–$175,000 annually in the United States outside California; $118,000–$184,000 annually in California. Canadian range: CAD 123,000–150,000 annually.

What you will do

• Develop and deploy machine learning models for content classification and other high-impact AI use cases.
• Apply traditional NLP, LLMs, generative models, classical algorithms, and custom neural networks.
• Investigate solutions to challenging problems involving large-scale data and production systems.
• Process massive datasets using Python, SQL, Spark, and related tools.
• Collaborate with Data Scientists, Machine Learning Engineers, ML Data Engineers, Product, and other stakeholders.
• Communicate project approaches and results and maintain clear technical documentation.

Requirements

• 3+ years of post-qualification experience developing machine learning models, working at scale, and deploying to production.
• Proficiency in Python.
• Hands-on experience building ML pipelines and using distributed data processing frameworks such as Apache Spark or Databricks.
• Intermediate experience in at least three areas including classification, NLP, search, information retrieval, named entity recognition, deep learning, and generative models.
• Intermediate or greater experience with SQL or PySpark.
• Bachelor's or master's degree in a relevant quantitative discipline such as Statistics, Computer Science, Data Science, or Artificial Intelligence.
