Data Scientist (Científico de Datos) - Hybrid (Fintech)

Location: Hybrid roles based in Bogota, Colombia; Mexico City, Mexico; or Sao Paulo, Brazil. Office attendance is expected organically and most days during ramp-up or when required by the leader.

What you will do

• Build, integrate, and maintain machine learning models in development environments.
• Conduct data analysis to support business decisions and identify effective approaches to business problems.
• Create clear, informative visualizations for broad audiences.
• Define data requirements and collaborate with data engineers to ensure data availability and implement solutions.
• Deliver end-to-end data science solutions for business teams.
• Document work to support knowledge transfer and future reference.

Requirements

• 3+ years of experience as a Data Scientist.
• Proficiency in SQL, Python, and Git.
• Experience with machine learning frameworks such as Scikit-learn or TensorFlow.
• Experience with object-oriented programming and understanding of data science best practices.
• Familiarity with AWS and Databricks.
• Good English level required.

Nice to have

• Experience with corporate bill pay, credit cards, and spend management products.
• Experience with Metabase, QuickSight, or Databricks for data visualization.
• Proficiency in R for data analysis and modeling.
• Experience designing and analyzing A/B tests.
• Knowledge of financial-sector regulatory compliance in Latin America.
