Legal Generalist Intern (AI)

Location: Hybrid role based at the San Francisco office, with at least 1 day per week required onsite

Salary: $38–$48 per hour; eligible for overtime

What you will do

• Support the Commercial and Corporate Legal teams on customer, vendor, NDA, and other commercial agreements.
• Assist with corporate transactions, including M&A, financing, and public company readiness.
• Draft and validate NDA and vendor-agreement triage playbooks with classification criteria and escalation paths.
• Build and annotate clause and contract template libraries covering standard and fallback positions.
• Use Claude or other AI tools to develop and test intake workflows producing first-pass issue-spot summaries.
• Create negotiation response templates and assist with onboarding a new contract lifecycle management platform.

Requirements

• Currently pursuing a JD; 2L or 3L students are preferred.
• Completed contracts coursework.
• Strong legal writing and analytical skills.
• Comfort working with AI-assisted tools such as Claude, or willingness to learn them.
• Ability to work at least 1 day per week in the San Francisco office.

Nice to have

• Prior internship experience at a law firm or in-house legal team.
• Experience with corporate and securities law, commercial agreements, or technology agreements.
• Familiarity with contract lifecycle management or legal workflow tools.
