Senior AI/ML Engineer (Fintech)

Location: Chicago, IL; New York, NY; San Francisco, CA; or Seattle, WA, USA. Hybrid work includes four days per week in the office and Fridays from home for employees near an office.

Salary: $172,000–$238,000 base annually, plus bonus, equity, and benefits.

What you will do

• Develop and deploy sequential deep learning and traditional machine learning models for growth and marketing initiatives.
• Build predictive models from large-scale financial, transactional, and behavioral datasets to improve personalization and member engagement.
• Partner with Growth & Marketing, Product, and Engineering teams on strategic AI/ML initiatives.
• Design and improve infrastructure for training, serving, and monitoring large-scale ML systems in batch and real-time environments.
• Generate insights and recommendations, and contribute to experimentation frameworks and optimization strategies.
• Identify technology gaps and opportunities for measurable AI/ML business impact.

Requirements

• Deep expertise in sequential and deep learning models, particularly for financial or behavioral data beyond traditional NLP applications.
• End-to-end machine learning lifecycle experience, including training, experimentation, optimization, deployment, and monitoring.
• Experience developing predictive models with large-scale transactional, financial, or behavioral datasets.
• Hands-on experience with AWS, SageMaker, Kafka, Airflow, Redis, Snowflake, and Spark.
• Strong proficiency in Python, SQL, PyTorch, PySpark, distributed computing, and scalable model training.
• Production MLOps experience and the ability to work independently in ambiguous, cross-functional environments.
