Salary: $150,000–$210,000 annually, plus potential stock options and benefits for full-time hires.

is developing and operating low-cost uranium enrichment services in the United States to restore domestic nuclear fuel production.
What you will do
- Develop, document, and maintain design criteria and the design basis for facility systems, structures, and components.
- Translate safety functions, regulatory requirements, and engineering codes into clear design criteria.
- Establish criteria for seismic, wind, flood, and other natural phenomena hazards and external events.
- Define load combinations, environmental conditions, and applicable codes and standards.
- Review designs, calculations, and specifications for conformance with established criteria.
- Coordinate with ISA, criticality safety, consequence, fire protection, structural, and mechanical teams while maintaining configuration-controlled documentation.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Mechanical, Civil/Structural, Nuclear, or a related engineering field.
- Strong engineering fundamentals, analytical skills, and ability to perform trade studies and make recommendations with partial information.
- Knowledge of design basis and design criteria development for regulated or safety-critical facilities.
- Familiarity with ASCE, ACI, AISC, ASME, and natural phenomena hazard criteria.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills and ability to collaborate across technical teams.
- Ability to work extended hours and weekends as necessary.
Nice to have
- Experience at a nuclear, DOE, national laboratory, or NRC-licensed facility.
- Experience with Integrated Safety Analysis, safety classification of SSCs, natural phenomena hazard analysis, or external event assessment.
- Professional Engineer license or ability to obtain one.
- Advanced degree and evidence of exceptional technical ability.
- Experience in a fast-paced, highly technical, or entrepreneurial engineering environment.
