Location: Full-time, on-site in Austin, Texas, for at least 12 consecutive weeks. Interns must provide their own housing and daily transportation to the facility; on-site parking is available.

What you will do
- Design, build, and update 3-D CAD models, detailed drawings, and GD&T documentation.
- Draft work instructions, router steps, and inspection plans meeting ASME and internal quality standards.
- Collect production data and perform root-cause analysis on non-conformances.
- Recommend corrective actions and present quantified findings to engineering leadership at the end of the term.
- Gain daily mentorship and shop-floor experience while owning a clearly scoped project from concept through implementation.
Requirements
- Currently enrolled in a B.S. or M.S. program in Mechanical, Aerospace, Manufacturing Engineering, or a closely related field.
- At least 3 months of hands-on engineering experience through course projects, research, internships, student shop work, or personal builds.
- Working knowledge of CAD/CAM and basic structural or thermal analysis.
- Available to work full-time on-site in Austin, Texas, for at least 12 consecutive weeks.
- Growth mindset and positive attitude.
- Some tasks require standing, climbing ladders, and lifting up to 25 lbs while wearing PPE.
Nice to have
- GPA of 3.4 or higher and completion of a manufacturing laboratory or capstone design course.
- At least 6 months of experience applying GD&T.
- Familiarity with ISO, AS standards, or comparable quality codes.
- Experience collaborating with technicians in a fast-paced shop environment.
