Senior Software Engineer (Ruby on Rails/React)

Location: San Francisco, CA, USA. Hybrid work near a hirify.global office requires four days per week in the office and Fridays from home; a fully remote program is also available depending on eligibility and location.

Salary: $164,000–$227,000 base salary, plus bonus, equity, and benefits.

What you will do

• Design, develop, test, and scale backend services and front-end experiences for membership benefits, rewards, and engagement.
• Build and iterate on APIs and UI components for hirify.global’s mobile app.
• Partner with product, design, data science, and other stakeholders to understand member needs and deliver experiments.
• Use metrics and business impact to prioritize product and engineering work.
• Improve reliability, performance, and scalability across the stack.
• Mentor engineers, participate in code reviews, and promote technical best practices.

Requirements

• 5+ years of software development experience in a production environment at scale.
• Experience with Ruby on Rails or comparable frameworks.
• Proficiency with modern front-end technologies such as React, React Native, or TypeScript-based frameworks.
• Experience with transactional databases, caching systems, and API design.
• Product mindset with experience in experimentation, iteration, and measuring impact.
• Strong collaboration and communication skills, including cross-functional work.

• Experience with experimentation frameworks and data-driven product development.
